Stenacraw, Miller Park

Chattanooga, Tennessee

As part of Chattanooga’s redevelopment of Miller Park, Stenacraw is a public art sculpture inspired by the geology and landforms that comprise east Tennessee’s unique character.  The design incorporates bold forms and local stone material to exhibit four major themes of the Appalachian landscape: ridge form, geologic layers, mountain boulders, and the layering effect of mountain views. The resulting sculpture is an icon for the park and city that invites exploration, leisure, interaction and play.
