WMWA led the team for the first project to come out of the 2017 farm master plan for west Tennessee’s newest University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture campus at Lone Oak Farm. We teamed with the master plan lead Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects and master plan architect El Dorado. The 65-acre facility includes a new hunter’s education building, outdoor pavilion, 14 sport clay stations, trap, and trap/skeet combo facilities. The Farm offers a beautiful setting for the facility with varied and complex settings for each sport clay station. Stations follow the rolling terrain in and out of the Farm’s forest and fields and include at grade and elevated stations that fit to the topography. WMWA sited buildings and designed a new road, parking, entrance and custom station elements that build on the unique character of the Farm.
